Cream Cheese Danish With Puff Pastry

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 8 squares.
  • Add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture to the center of each square, then top with cherries.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry toward the center, pressing lightly to seal.
  • Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
