Prepare the white cake mix according to the package instructions. Bake as directed and allow the cake to cool completely.
Prepare the gelatin mixes in two separate bowls or measuring cups. Mix 1 cup of boiling water with the lime-flavored gelatin and stir until dissolved. In a second bowl, mix 1 cup of boiling water with the raspberry-flavored gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
Using the end of a wooden spoon or a similar tool, poke holes evenly across the cooled cake.
Pour the raspberry gelatin mixture into every other row of holes. Then, pour the lime gelatin mixture into the remaining rows, alternating between the two colors.
Place the cake in the refrigerator and allow it to cool for approximately 20 minutes.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and spread the whipped topping evenly over the top. Add Christmas sprinkles, if desired.
Return the cake to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to set.
When ready to serve, cut the cake into slices with a sharp knife and enjoy!
